'People are Ready to Go:’ Better than Normal Travel Year Expected, CAA Says
Travel is expected to make a comeback in 2022, according to Terry Kaszas, General Manager of Travel Services with CAA Saskatchewan. "People are feeling more comfortable travelling...international is picking up with more European type tours, motorcoach, as well as river cruising," Kaszas said. Bookings are being made well in advance, up to six months to a year, he said, with many planned for fall 2022. Sun destinations such as Mexico and Jamaica remain popular with bookings, but domestic Canadian destinations are also receiving interest. "People are ready to go, people want to travel," Kaszas added. "As long as we see more and more restrictions being lifted I think we're going to have some pretty full airplanes, full trains, full hotels, everywhere again very very very soon."
