Reps4Rent Launches; New Service Company from Industry Veteran Dianne Jackson
Dianne Jackson and members of her team launched Reps4Rent to an audience of some 70 industry types at the Delta Hotel near Toronto's Pearson Airport 15SEP.
The company was established to fill several gaps in the travel industry: people to perform sales calls, work trade shows, provide training, assist with RFPs, help out at special events and more.
Jackson has worked in travel in a variety of senior management roles and believes that Reps4Rent is the perfect solution for an industry which has lost or cut back its sales teams - at a time when they are needed most.
However, as she points out, with her new company, “You pay for us only when you need us.” The model lets clients save money when it comes to cutting travel and other expenses, too.
And she already has team members in BC and Quebec (who will provide bilingual service, a huge plus to potential clients who do not have French-speaking staff).
Reps4Rent appeals to clients who want to be able to select from a menu of services, while attracting staff who want to work when they want to work.
As Liliana Mancini, Sales Manager, Canada for the Aruba Tourism Authority told me, “I’m hoping to hire her services – I’m a huge supporter and know she’ll draw from all the experience our industry has to offer, people who already know the drill. We need people with talent, especially now with the labour shortage.”
Well-known industry personality Sal Buccellato (formerly of Bahia Principe) has already signed up to be a Rep4Rent. “I’m thrilled and 100% on board. I didn’t want full-time work, and love Dianne’s approach of ‘What works for you?’”
